Installation Guidelines

1.

Pre-Installation Preparation

Thoroughly clean and inspect the pump shaft, seal chamber bore, and gland surfaces. Remove corrosion, debris, and surface defects to ensure proper sealing surface contact and alignment.

2.

Seal Installation

Slide the IPW-022 seal onto the shaft and position it correctly in the seal chamber. Ensure the multi-spring assembly and set screws are oriented correctly. Tighten the set screws evenly without over-torquing to secure the rotary head to the shaft.

3.

Alignment & Fit

Check that the stationary seat and seal faces are correctly aligned within the housing to maintain even face loading.

4.

Startup Procedure

Once installed, gradually bring the pump up to operating speed and pressure. Observe the seal area for any signs of fluid leakage, vibration, or abnormal temperature before placing the equipment into full duty.
